BEANS, BEANS AND MORE BEANS

Timp Mt. is above the clouds.  Taken from or back steps.

Wasatch from our back yard

The great adventure for Monday was we bought Dad 3 new suits. Joseph Banks had a sale: buy one and get 2 free.  Couldn’t  resist.  I’ll send pictures when they get back from the tailor.  He looked very handsome.
Monday I canned 42 quarts of beans.  Scott mudded the walls in  the  wet bedroom.

Tuesday I found that I had pressured the beans at the wrong pressure so I did all 42 quarts again.  Ugh!  Dad caught 7 beautiful, huge trout and cooked one of them for dinner.  I even ate some.  (Not quite as good as yours, Jeff.)
Thursday we went to our ward night at the temple.  We had to wait in line just to get in.  How wonderful is that?  When we got to the chapel we had a huge line.  They asked if anyone wanted to do sealings instead and we volunteered.  (Just like Tennessee)  It was so wonderful.  The  sealer was incredible.  He was so warm and friendly and kept us in good humor with his stories.  There was a very strong spirit present.  The  time  flew by and we were saddened when it was over.  We love the temple and the tender feelings we get when there.  I thought of Baylie and Jalen the whole time.  The sealer even talked about adopted children.  I listened so carefully to ever word that was said.  Kristin and David have given them so much more than a loving home.  What promises lie in store for those special “little bits”.  How we love our eternal family and every person in it.  We also love each other; more every day.
Friday dad continued organizing the fruit room.  We have food that we have stored too long and must get rid of.  Now that dad has organized things that will not happen.  When he finished we moved the boat from the garden to under the apple trees.  We felt very muscular and strong.

We rewarded ourselves by going to see the movie “Gravity”  Very interesting and breathtaking movie.    That evening we went to Erik’s game.  They won.  At half-time a group taught by the Viking dance group did a dance routine.  Ava was part of the routine.  She was so darn cute.
waiting to go on

Saturday we spent the day in SLC watching Riley (won) and Hailey (lost) play football and soccer.  It’s always fun to be together watching grands.  They both played very well.
