We started February with our beautiful Rowan Noel Bayles being baptized by her father, Scott. It was a beautiful time and had many relatives and friends in attendance. It was a beautiful day.
It was also Ashley’s birthday. At this time we do not tell years. She is an amazing mother.
Monday George had a Dr. appointment with Dr Luni. George has a pacemaker under his side of the bed that monitors his heart. He was at risk for a stroke and the doctor gave him a prescription for Eliquis. It is the best medicine for strokes which I have taken for over three years. It’s very expensive but we get ours out of Canada and it is much cheaper.
Tuesday Scott came over and redid the front bedroom windows because they were so awful and ugly from when they had been done wrong when someone put in new windows. We certainly appreciate what he does for us.
Wednesday the fifth we paid our bills for last month. Crazy time because it was the first time we had done it together and boy was it a challenge. We finally finished.
We discovered that my credit card had been used for over $7,000 in fraudulent charges. Thank goodness we have Capital One right with us. They refunded all of the bills that had occurred. We don’t know how the crooks did it, but they used our card and then used the new card before we even received it. It is so hard to believe people can be so heartless. We have been very tired and worn out over all of this, but thank goodness we didn't have to pay any of it. It was just so hard to handle with all of the crooked things people can do today.
Friday the 7th Dad got to return to serving in the Orem Temple. He is doing so well with his Bell's Palsy, but the Shingles are not forgotten. They still hurt at times. The news is that they never go completely away.
Feb. 9th was Dave’s Birthday. He is such a great husband and dad. We are blessed that Tiffani found him. He loves his family.
The next day Dad got the joy of having his back bottom teeth removed so that in two weeks he can have better ones.
Wednesday the 12th Dad had an MRI. We finally had some snow that day. Hallelujah!
Valentine’s Day is the best because so much love is poured out to others. We ran some errands and could not decide where to go for dinner. All the restaurants were so busy and then we remembered the phone call we got from our great-grandson, William. He informed us that the best place to eat is J Dogs. It is a little hole in the wall where hot dogs are the only menu. It was so good and brought back so many memories. It was just perfect.
Sunday Dad was sick so we stayed home. It took him three days to feel better. He is never ill so this was hard for him.
The 19th was Asher’s 17th birthday. WOW! How the time flies. He is a fun boy who loves to tease his Granddad. He plays lacrosse and loves his family. He also loves his dog.
This was the same day I had dental work with a new set of molars.
We found that by going with AT&T we can have our internet things, computers etc. fixed for $25. Good deal since Dad’s monitor is not working. I guess that is worth the new network.
On the 21st Dad was able to return to the temple at 5:00 a.m. He was so excited and loves this time every week.
Dad had a CAT scan and the results were very good. This getting old is not easy, but we are having so much fun we can handle it. He also makes amazing zucchini bread.
Our missionaries continue to make us proud with their service to Jesus Christ.
