Temples and a Wedding

Another month has gone by so fast. All is well. Early in the month, we went to Clark and Dianne’s with an added bonus in that Ashley and Tyler were there with a banana cream pie to share. Boy do we love banana cream pie, but mostly we enjoy the visiting time.

The next day was Parker’s furd birthday. We always tease him this day in that he was talking so young and could say most everything with such cuteness. He is a grown man now, a returned missionary, and has a beautiful bride in Jessa. He is studying to be an optometrist and doing very well. He is the first of a very loving family. We are so proud of him.

Saturday, the 8th, we spent working in the garden. It is always so filled with fun memories of past times.

Monday, the 10th, was Lily and George’s brother Lyman’s birthdays. Lily is so hard to describe in a little space because she is so special. She is a big college student now and lives in Cedar City, studying at the college. She is involved in so many things and loves everyone. What a choice daughter of our Heavenly Father.

We love Lyman and the life he has chosen to live. He has a loving sweetheart and a great family. He lives in Blanding, Utah.
Tuesday, the 11th, we did a fun thing. We did a session in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and then when it ended, we asked if we could do some initiatories. We each did some. We are going to try that every time we go to a temple. That temple is the only one we have gone to that has a safety bar in the initiatory booths. It is so easy to move around there. The last two times we each were able to do the work for five family members.

Wednesday we spent the day in the garden and pruning roses. We love our cozy home and the beauty we enjoy here. We are so blessed to live close to some of our family and those who travel to visit here. We love that we are a forever family.

Some time ago Dr. Healey found something in Dad’s pancreas. He sent him for a test, but it didn’t show enough. For the last few months we have tried to get an appointment for an MRI. Ridiculous! We now finally have an appointment in the hospital in Murray next month.

Kristin has now been married 22 years. Boy that time has gone by fast. She has an incredible family whom she loves so very much. They are a crazy and happy group who are always doing something fun. They love South Carolina, the chickens, the dog, and finally the family.

Sunday, the 16th, was Father’s Day. We had a yummy dinner at Clark and Dianne’s home

After dinner we all went to Erik and Shanelle's for a treat and a surprise. Shanelle had asked the kids questions about their memories of growing up. The girls called in with Face Time as Shanelle read through the questions and answers. I don’t believe we have ever laughed so hard. It was such a fun evening and everyone joined in with their own versions of the childhood memories. They didn’t all remember things the same way. I wish there had been a recorder. I think we all have side aches from laughing so hard. We laughed for almost two hours. It was just a fun night with yummy desserts.  We love doing anything with  family.

Thursday, the 20th, Kristin flew in for our granddaughter Molly’s wedding. Dad picked her up and they went to the Strawberry Days Rodeo. They had so much fun. It was in the evening and I just couldn’t handle it. Kristin took so many pictures. They had a blast and Dad bought everyone strawberries and cream.

The next day was Molly and Jayden Spenser’s wedding. It was amazing. It was held in the Orem LDS Temple and everything was perfect. More pictures. She was a beautiful bride and so ready for this big step. She has kept her life in the way she was taught by her parents. She is so worthy of her Father in Heaven’s blessings.

After the wedding they had an incredible reception. It was in a neighbor’s back yard and filled with friends, neighbors, and relatives. They line danced and everyone was so happy and had such a fun time. They went to Park City to honeymoon after all the fun. It was just a perfect day.
There was lots of line dancing!

The next morning, June 22nd, Dad took Kristin to the airport to fly home. It was a short visit, but filled with memories. Dad drove home and took me to Erik and Shanelle’s home to watch the Strawberry Days Parade. It is our favorite one because it goes right in front of their home and we sit under a canopy and enjoy. They serve breakfast before the parade for their friends and family. Scott and his family always come. It was just another perfect day.

After the parade, Scott and his family came to have a picnic on our back lawn while Scott worked on a very poor window job in our TV room. Bethany helped him work on it, but it still needs more work. It was again fun to have them around. We love them.

Sunday after church, we went to Emanuel and Nisa Sanja's home to visit for a while. They are a great couple. Emanuel was born in Sierra Leon and Nisa was born in Mozambique. They insisted that we join them for a tasty dinner from their youth. We had such a fun and happy time.

Monday, the 24th, we saw Dr. Austin Healey for visits. He was a student of mine when I taught 3rd grade and is a wonderful doctor. After a few tests he let us know I was in the beginning stages of dementia. Not good news. He let us know that there is now a pill to slow it down a bit, but not everyone can handle it. I can handle it. It can help me live 5 or7 years until I will need help. I am going to do my best to do this. It leads to Alzheimer's.

After that visit we went to Doctor McKell, our dentist. We love him and the way he has taken care of our teeth for years. He was in our ward when George was the bishop.

Tuesday, we were able to do a session in the Timpanogos Temple and then do five initiatories after that. We love doing two things on the same day.

Wednesday, our neighbor Jeremy came over to see if Dad could give his mother a blessing. His father, Mike, has been in the hospital for several days and the doctors don’t think he will ever leave. He gave her a beautiful blessing and she seemed to relax a little. I am so grateful that he is worthy to do that.

Thursday, the 27th, is Payson Temple day with the Seamons. We had picked a gallon of peas yesterday, so we took a bag for them. They are so fun to be with.

The last day of this month, Tiffani and Dave with family and of course Titan came for a week. We are anxious for them to come because the girls are going to perform with Zion’s Youth at the BYU Stadium of Fire to perform their patriotic music. We are so very excited.

Our missionaries, Camden and Parker, are doing great. They love the Lord.

Tiffani and Kristin's kids accompanied Cameron when he served in the baptistry of the Las Vegas temple. He loves the service he gets to offer to various people in the area.
