Love our snowball bush\tree
Since our pergola is finished we decided to buy new patio
furniture for it. In a weak moment we
bought a beautiful set with a 3 seat cushion couch, 2 swivel and tipped chairs and
a table for the couch. It is beautiful. They are all in tan. Our old table and chairs have bit the dust. They will be delivered and put together in 2
weeks. We must have been in a crazy
mood.
The next day I saw Dr. Huber to have what the blue light didn’t
get, frozen so I would not have skin cancer.
Ouch! I now have a very red face
again.
We found out the couch we ordered was out of stock so decided
to look again when we went to St. George.
That afternoon we went to Kamas to watch Riley in the state soccer
playoff game. They won 4-0 with Riley
making an assist for the first goal.
Goats and Bayles
We certainly love all of ours. Clark on tip toe.
On the 5th we left for St. George and Clark and
Erik’s Iron Man. We love following these
activities our families get involved in.
We got in before check-in so we went shopping. I must say I hate shopping but I did myself
in this time. We ate a late lunch at a
Mongolian restaurant which Clark suggested and loved it. Yummy.
After the lunch we continued shopping because the Pendleton store was closing and had a great sale. Did a little more than usual but had so much fun.

Saturday was finally the Iron Man. We did not go to the lake to watch them get
in the water but met the family at the park. They start at different times, a little after 7AM. They come in from
swimming(1.2 mile swim) and go out on the bikes. It is
so much fun to wait and cheer them on.
.
It was so hot by then and the wind was 27mph.
Will was a riot. He got more on the table and floor than in his tummy.
Again it was just fun to be
with family and enjoy one another.
We had some things to do and afterwards went to our hotel to spend the night. The kids called and asked if we would meet them at Nielson’s Custard for shakes. Of course we would. They are so good, just like at Nauvoo.
The nest morning we headed home.

Clark's grandson waiting
Clark had Dianne,
Ashley and family, Lily and Jonny. Erik
had his whole family. It’s just great to
be together cheering them on. They did
very well. The run takes a long time so
we went to the park and sat in the shade.
The kids played in a splash pad right in front of us. They were soaked but dried quickly and continued
to repeat the activity. We headed to where
they come in from the bike and go out on the run.
Clark
It’s a long ride (56 miles) and they transitioned to the
run for the last long leg. The wind
really slowed all runners down. (over 2500 of them) They came across the finish line at about
1:00. (13.1 mile run) It’s a brutal race. (total of 70.3 miles.)

They rested and the kids played some more
after which we headed to The Pizza Factory for our traditional Iron Man
dinner. Will was a riot. He got more on the table and floor than in his tummy.

Little Will just went
around the patio we were on and took bites from any of us who would offer. He is so darn cute and fun. The nest morning we headed home.
Monday morning we headed for Lowes to finalize on the things we
wanted and change our order quite a bit.
No problem. They will deliver and
set everything up next Monday. We also
bought our plants for the garden and flower beds. We decided to see where Scott works.
He travels often on the weekends but goes to fun places.
Tuesday we mowed the lawns because the boys had missed Sat. due to the race and could not come until the next Sat. I mowed and Dad did the weed eater. He also mowed the two side yards. The grass was 2 weeks high and would have been 8 in. by the time the boys could do it. We had fun and didn’t even pass out. Everything looked so beautiful.
At 6:00 that night we got Nixon and Rowan. They were so fun. We hadn’t had Nixon since the end of Feb. so
this was a treat. We had never had Rowan. I didn’t have the lid to the bottle screwed
on right so we had wetness all over both of us.
She slept in my lap for 2 hours.
Doesn’t get better than that.
Thursday the RS tied 4 quilts for humanitarian.
We finished all the garden planting. The garden looks so good.
Friday we went to Juan Diego Catholic High School for Riley's State semi final soccer game. He played very well and had an assist. They won 3-0.

Saturday Erik's Kolton and Camden came to mow our lawns. They do a great job. When they finished we headed to the State soccer championship game.
South Summit played very well and of course we favor Riley. They lost 1-0. Mothers' Day is always a wonderful day. We love our family and love how it is growing. We heard or saw everyone and it was just fun. Sacrament meeting was so inspiring and the day was wonderful. We got our of church at noon and Clark and Di had dinner at 1 so it was a rush but they waited for us. It takes a little over an hour to get to Kamas but it is a beautiful drive through Provo Canyon. I don't think Dianne has ever served the same menu twice. She is a master chef. Her mother and father were there also.(I took a picture of everyone at the table but can't find it,) We had a homemade strawberry, angel food cake for dessert.
William went around hugging his doll. He'll be a great daddy some day, just like his dad. He is so much fun.
Kristin skyped us while we were there so she got to visit with Clark's family also. It's always fun to see the faces, Jalen is a riot and loves to take the whole screen. They're a very special family. We visited awhile and then headed to Pleasant Grove for dessert with Erik and Shanelle's family. How can you beat two desserts in such a short time? They served fruit pizza. It is always fun to be in their home. They have done a ton of remodeling.
Monday our patio furniture came. The pergola is finally finished, thanks to some neighbors and the furniture is so pretty in it.
Tiffani was upset that we used red (UofU) so we also have a full set of blue cushions for BYU. She'll have to make the trade when she comes and put it back before she leaves. We now spend far too much time just enjoying the beauty of living. A huge umbrella goes in the middle of the table.
That afternoon we went to Ava's class talent show. She stole the entire program. We love to see these brave little second graders get up in front of an audience and perform. It takes a lot of courage and they are so nervous. It"s such an important step in their development. Ava is amazing.
That evening we went to Nixon's pre-school graduation.
Today was the first time in 6 weeks we were able to go to the temple together. I am finally over that horrible whatever thing I had. Thank goodness for a good doctor to give me some antibiotics. Thee's not a better place than in the temple to remember the covenants we have made with our Father. What an incredible blessing we are given freely. After the temple we went to see Lucile. She is failing but never gives up. She continually tells us how blessed she is even though she is confined to a wheelchair. She is 95. I hope we can be like her when we grow up. We went to Timpview for two of Dad's teachers who were retiring. It was fun for him to see some old friends who treasure him. We hurried home for George to water the garden and have a slice of homemade bread and then headed to Kolton's amazing choir concert. His director chooses some of the best music that is so fun and wild to sing and then some that are so melodic and harmonic. He gets such great support from his students and parents.

The next day, Wednesday, was Parker's concert. They take superior in every competition they enter. They even performed at Disneyland last month. They are so good and sing such beautiful music. I don't know why the print changes.
This was a casual performance but so incredible.
Saturday we went to Scott’s to help take down a big dead tree
in his front yard.
Ava and Beth were at dance so Scott had Nixon and Rowan. She is such a good baby. She nurses but Scott had her all day. He’s an amazing father. I watched Nixon and the dogs while I held sleeping Rowan.
After the tree was all cleaned up we went to Nixon's soccer game. What a fun time. Again I put Rowan to sleep.
This was a casual performance but so incredible.

On the 18th Adele had her retirement party at
Canyon Crest Elementary where I used to teach for 25 years. It was so much fun. All the teachers that I taught with were
there. We just laughed our heads
off. We are going to have a luncheon
next month and laugh some more. Why I
didn’t take pictures is a mystery to me.
It is still very cold here in the 30’s at night and 40’s in
the day. Where is spring?

When we got home Erik and Kolton had mowed our lawn
already gone. It looks so beautiful.
We got ready and went to an evening session of our stake
conference. It was so filled with the
Spirit. Elder Munks was our speaker and
he involved all of the congregation in such an inspiring way. We left ready to go on another mission.
Sunday morning was much of the same. Kate Hunter from our ward
spoke and instead of even mentioning that she broke a record and took state
Saturday, she talked about her sister who tried so hard to finish a race that
would have taken state but had been hurt and could not finish but tried so
hard. Her sister told how proud she was
of her and how she really never gave up but tried to the end. Kate has a full scholarship for BYU next
year. She has taken state in the 1200 and the 800. Elder Munks called Vanita Law up
because Vernon had spoken in the priesthood leadership session. She had the congregation listening to every
word and laughing. She is a great lady.
Tuesday, Scott turned 38.
He is our baby and where has the time gone? He is a self made man and can fix about anything. He has changed jobs and loves what he is doing and gets to travel all over the USA. He doesn't like leaving the family but he sure likes the accommodations when he does. He is a loving father and according to Bethany, a wonderful husband. She is his true love and soul mate.
We love the way he takes care of that family and does so much for us. We are so proud "well pleased" with him.
Tuesday I was able to take one of the names Dad has been working on to the temple. What an experience. I was with her the whole time and had such an a spiritual time.
On the 24th, Camden, turned 12.
He is such a loving young man and loves everyone. He is so kind to others. There's never a dull moment when he is around. We are so excited because Parker is going to be able to ordain Camden a deacon on fast Sunday. Camden loves to learn new things and is always telling someone about it.
That evening Asher and Camden had their dance festival. It was Camden's last one.
Thursday we packed our trailer to head to Pine Valley. We planned to leave at 10 but didn't get away until 3 so we were late in arriving. Thank goodness for a trailer. Tiffani got their shortly before us. WE LOVE PINE VALLEY CAMPING. We fish all day; the kids fish and the men fix poles.

On Sunday we always go to church in town. They set up 600 chairs to accommodate all the visitors, and put us outside. They have a TV set up for us to watch and a PA system. It is wonderful. The kids love sitting on the lawn.
No matter when in Pine Valley there are no groceries, no gas, no
Swig. Ya gotta love it.
We went to Veyo for pie. Scott told us it was good and he was right on. Yum! We'll have to make that a yearly event.
We were so reminded of our Veterans and so humbled by the huge number of men and women who have given us our liberty to live in such a wonderful country.
Our trip home was not as expected. There was an accident ahead of us and it took forever to get home going 5mph part of the way. We just hope no one was seriously hurt and grateful that we were safe. We have so many tender mercies.
This was a wonderful month and we are go blessed with the family we have. We love them so much. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ has shown us the way to true happiness if we but follow the plan and keep our covenants.

We planted these poppies in memory of all the fallen soldiers, especially at Flanders' Field.
