Beautiful February
It’s
February and still the snow is a daily occurrence. We love it and know that this spring will be
beautiful. We love the different seasons
in Utah. It’s a lovely place to live.
I went to
Eureka to help my brother straighten his house.
He has had a heart attack and 3 stints put in and a new prosthesis. He is doing very well. Sure do love him.
Went to
another of Kolton’s games. Forgot
pictures. We go every Saturday and just
love to watch him improve.
We certainly enjoyed our newest addition, Rowan Noelle. She slept the entire time and I just held and loved. She's 5 weeks old and over 9 pounds. She's a keeper.
I gave the RS lesson on Sunday on Pres Uchtdorf's "Fourth Floor Last Door:
It was a fun lesson.
Granddad found 16 names to do in the temple this week. He is so excited. He gave the names to Shanelle so the boys could do the men. I hope Molly or Shanelle can do the women. Granddad is on the computer for hours searching for mistakes and new names. He has found so many mistakes in his family files; even his dad's name. He's a bit hyper. It continues to snow here.
Hope that means plenty of water in the summer.
I had surgery on the 8th to repair damage done when I fell and had 15 stitches a few years ago. It was more intense than I thought. 24 stitches in the hairline in my forehead and 30 stitches in my eyelids. It has not been fun. I was in ice packs for 3 days and nights and feel so humble that I am not blind. That was a very hard thing to do and I so appreciate the attitude of a blind lady who was in our ward. Blind people are amazing. Dad took very good care of me. I listened to many scriptures throughout the day and we watched a TV show in the evening where I knew what the actors looked like and dad told me what was happening. We laughed a lot. At noon, 3 days later, I was able to take the packs off and only use them 3 times a day. Wonderful.
Feb. 9th is Dave Jennings' birthday. Boy how we love him. He takes such good care of that family. His kids adore him and Tiffani even likes him. Together they have a family and home filled with the Spirit.
Feb. 11th, Dad went to Kolton and Molly's games. I just looked too yucky to go. Clark stopped by because they were early and it was so good to spend some time with that family. Jonny decided not to go to the game and stayed with me. I loved having him. He said he loved to come to Grammy's. Way to score points. When Shanelle, Asher and Camden found out Jonny was at our house, they came to be with Jonny. I love having family in our home. I made brownies so that when the game was over we could have brownies and ice cream. Fun! fun! fun!
Dad took me to Mi Ranchitos for Valentine's Day and gave me a card and box of chocolates, Wow! What a treat. We went early and I wore sun glasses so it was great. Sure do love that man.
Kristin and Tiffani sent me a bouquet of orchids to hep me feel better. They're absolutely beautiful.
Wednesday was my last day for heat or cold packs. Wonderful. Somewhere in here Dad made pancakes for breakfast. Now this is a pancake.
Dad has been doing a lot of genealogy work and carving while I am home bound. He loves doing those things and is getting better at both. He got into a Louie the other day while he was on the treadmill that he lost time and went for 45 min instead of 30.
Dad made the very best, most wonderful, chocolate chip, pecan cookies. Sure am gad I have him for eternity. (I wonder if they have chocolate chip cookies in heaven.) Sure am glad I snagged him; I think I'll keep him 'cause I love him.
The 20th I got my stitches out. With all those staples and stitches I thought they would numb me a little but it wasn’t really that bad. I had such a good night’s sleep with not rolling over onto the staples. Yeah!
She doesn’t seem nervous at all and when the music starts she
takes command of the floor. It’s just fun to watch her.

He loves them big and thick.

The 17th
was Aunt Julie’s birthday. What a great
lady. She is always there for everyone
and suffers so much herself. She is an
example of true charity. We love her.
The 18th
we went to Kolton’s game.
We just love that young man and the whole family. That
afternoon we went to Applebee’s for an early dinner. We couldn’t decide what to
order so we both had ribs. We will go there again. They were so
juicy and flavorful.
Sunday was
Asher’s birthday.
Jalen and Asher
He is so active and full of energy. He was excited to open
his journal and card. They always know what’s inside the card. He
knows everything about Star Wars and loves to build things. We just can’t
believe he’s already 9. He loves to be with his family. The 20th I got my stitches out. With all those staples and stitches I thought they would numb me a little but it wasn’t really that bad. I had such a good night’s sleep with not rolling over onto the staples. Yeah!
On Thursday
the 23rd we went to Ava’s first solo dance competition. She is amazing on the floor.
She danced to a Peter Pan song. She
was also in a group of 4 and they were also so cute.
If any of the movies just show a black line just click on the black line.
After the competition
She’s just a born dancer. They are going to dance at
Disneyland in a few days. Tiff is meeting them there. I don’t think
Rowan will ever be out of Tiff’s arms; well maybe for snacks.
Saturday at
8:00PM we wet to Molly’s championship game for her division. It was in Spanish Fork and we always love
watching the grands do things. She is
amazing and has improved so much during the season.
They beat a team by many points who beat them
earlier in the season.
We are so grateful for the many
blessings our Father continues to give
us.
The restored gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ is so true and brings such
peace and eternal happiness. We just
wish we could explain to our children and grands how much we truly love
them. They are the heart of our
blessings.
