FOOTBALL IS IN THE AIR

Before we even start this blog we must let you know that we forgot Nixon’s birthday on the 22nd of last month.  To view it go to our last post.  He is special; the last of the 17.  We love him so much and enjoy the times we are together.  Sorry Nixon.
I finally finished the quilt I started last winter.
The 3rd we went to Kamas to watch Riley play ball.  They won and he played well.
Riley makes us remember Clark; so alike.
Friday was a great day for birthdays.  Clark turned 46.  He has always been such a joy for us.  He is such a good man and works so hard for his family.  He loves that special family of his and tries to be to everything they are involved in.  He has become quite the farmer with a goat, pigs and chickens.  He has always worked hard to keep his physical and spiritual strength.  He had been on the triathlon podium many times. He will become a grandpa in January and we are all excited for his big event.  (I guess he has nothing to do with it.)  He is a loving father, husband and son.

Next comes the twins.  They share Clark's birthday.  This birthday was so special in that they were baptized.
Lauryn Dora is the older twin.  She loves dolphins and wants to be a trainer when she grows up.  he loves to cook and try out new ideas.  She really knows the ins and outs of the kitchen.  She makes yummy treats for her family.  She makes friends easily and draws many to her.  She has one of those smiles that makes you smile.  She loves her family and her Savior.

As you can see Clara Camille loves horses.  Even in her beautiful baptism dress she has on red cowboy boots.  She is very competitive in everything she does and works hard on anything she wants to do.  She looks for those who are not happy and tries to make them feel better.  She also loves her family and her Savior.

Friday we headed for Vegas.  We were happy to have Shanelle, Camden and Asher go with us.  The older boys had games so Erik stayed home with them.  We had a great trip and got to Vegas in time for dinner and swimming. Scott, Beth and their kids were already there.  They swam until they went to bed.  The cousins love being with each other. This was such a special moment for Tiffani that she had everything all planned out to the finest detail.  When the girls got up she gave them a pedicure and manicure.
Their dresses and shoes had been chosen way back in June.  Everything was perfect.  She had their hair fixed in beautiful braids so it would not cause a problem in the water.

It was a stake baptism so the entire chapel was filled and they had to open the breezeway to hold all the people.  We were excited when we got there to see my brother, Del and his wife.  It's always good to have more family.
Judianne Moody was also there.  She was 12 when Tiffani was born and we lived in California.  She did many things with Tiffani and tended often.  They were best buddies.

Cameron played the organ for the whole meeting.  He even played while the different wards left for their turn at the font.  He played so well.  Their ward was the last one.  When we went in they had to dismiss the other wards to go back into the chapel there were so many there from the ward and friends.  The kids' janitor was even there.
Everyone should read this book.
The baptism was beautiful and the Spirit very strong.  They are not only twins but best friends.  Scott, Bethany and kids along with Shanelle and the boys were also there.  The twin's grandma and Larry came also.  It was just a great day.  They looked beautiful in their new white dresses for the confirmation.
After the baptism we headed back to Tiff and Dave's for a yummy dinner.  The kids immediately shucked their clothes and headed for the pool.  Tiffani had bought a regular snow cone machine and many were made.  They just swam and ate snow cones.
The adults watched the incredible BYU-Nebraska game to the exciting end.  Bethany's Sister, Skyler, her boyfriend and Alli's husband were there to help cheer.  It was just a great day.

At 9:00 we decided to go to the Bellagio for some gelato.  It was Labor Day weekend so it was a zoo.  We watched the water show and the beautiful gardens and went back home.  We didn't get there until around 11:00.  The kids were great.

Church is always good in the Peccole Ranch Ward.  The Nebekers" brought smoked tritip and brisket for dinner.  We wolfed it down like we had never eaten before.  It was so good.
Again, when we got home Dad worked in the garden so we could share the bounty.

Thursday after humanitarian work, a sewing machine repairman came and worked on our machines.  He fixed one that the machine experts said couldn't be fixed.  It was one I got for graduation in 1966.  It just purrs now.  He then fixed a little one I have used for some time.  He then saw my treadle machine and plowed into it.
It is so beautiful and now sews like a charm.  What a great day.
Dad and Brother Bush spent the day fishing.

Dad's fish was 4 pounds
Saturday the 12th, we got up at 5:30 to get ready to head for Yuba Lake and Scott's triathlon.  Summer is filled with tris.  Scott did very well and was on the podium standing in 1st place.  We were proud and thrilled for him.  After the awards he took his family and us to One Man Band for breakfast.  Yummy!

1st place winner
That evening at 8:15 was the BYU- Boise State football game.  Another win in the last seconds.  Amazing.  We had us, Scott and Beth, Erik, Shanelle and Kolton, Clark, Jonny and Riley, and Beth's sister Sky and her boyfriend.  We were crazy when it was over.

Weirdness is not genetic.

Sunday was a special regional conference with M.Russell Ballard.  WOW was it powerful and so good.  He encouraged members to cut back on activities that take you away from the family setting and spend more time doing things with your families.  Monday was the usual day.  When the kids came they helped Granddad clear out the corn stalks.
Erik's boys mowed the lawns.  It rained just a little. They do a great job every week.  I don't keep track of wedding dates but today was the 22nd anniversary for Clark and Dianne.
Saturday just Dad and I went fishing all by ourselves.   It was the first time he had taken me all summer and we had such a relaxing and great time.  No fish but we didn't even care.
Saturday the 19th we got up early and went with Scott and Beth to Mill Valley to cut wood.  It was so beautiful up there.  Clark sent us to a place that was so beautiful. We loved the few hours we were there.

This is what happens when you work too hard.
We got back just in time to watch Parkers's game.  Thant night we watched the BYU-UCLA game.  It was a good game and we led the entire game until the last seconds.  Sad.  The game ended at midnight for us.

September 21st is David Batchelor's birthday.  We are so glad he is a part of our family.  He is finally a college professor so we we call him Dr. Batchelor.  He and his family worked very hard for the past 14 years for that.  We are very proud of all of them.  He is so good to our Kristin and the kids.  He is a man who honors his priesthood.  We do wish they lived closer but the job is more important.  He is definitely an addition to the Bayles clan.

The 22nd we finally got to Asher and Camden's games.  It seems we are so busy now that we are retired.  They both played very well.  They both won.

The next evening we watched Parker's game.  They lost but he played well.

Dad. Parker, Granddad

Dave Jennings flew in that night and stayed with us.  It was so good to visit and spend a little while with him.  He had business at BYU. (We think he's trying to help the coaching.)
Thursday George went fishing and I went to help Uncle Milt in Eureka.  He is doing so well and painting up a storm. He never even got in his wheelchair. We are so anxious to see the project he has in SLC next month.

We both wanted to go to Riley's game in Kamas but Dad was with Cliff and they were in Cliff's boat so he couldn't leave until Cliff got to shore and it was just too late.
Friday we watched Erik's varsity team win their game.  The run through the coolest helmet to get on the field.
The 26th we once again went to the mountains by Kamas to get firewood.  This time is was Clark's family, Dianne's brother Jacob, Scott, a friend of Clark's and us.  They kept 4 saws going all day.  They cut and loaded 2 flatbeds, 3 pickups and a large trailer.  Our trailer got a branch stuck in a tire so it didn't do anything.  It was a long, hard day.  Bethany had to stay home for a Primary program rehearsal.  We worked and played hard.  I forgot to take pictures of firing the 22 rifle and hand gun of Paul's.

Everyone was so tired by the time we finished; even the saws.

Went to Ava and Nixon's Primary program Sunday.  They did so well and there was so much singing.  It was wonderful.  They both had their parts memorized and did them very well.

Monday, George left for St. George with Brad Monks to have a 2 day golfing spree.  I stayed home and did some catching up on RS stuff.  The kids came and then the boys came to mow the lawn.  Ava and Nixon love it when the boys come.  I'm just a little boring.  It's fun to have them and we make snow cones when they finish mowing.
Tuesday I started a new quilt.  Now that my machines are working I can get back to doing fun things.
After RS Pres. meeting, George and I went to visit Michelle Williams.  She is doing as well as can be expected.  Her last chemo is the 8th.
The restored gospel of Jesus Christ remains true and always will be.  We love it and are so blessed to have the knowledge of what we must do to return to our Father in Heaven.  We are so extra blessed to have the children we do and their spouses.  They bring us more joy and happiness than we ever expected.  The grandchildren are the light in our lives.  They are crazy, cute, follow the Savior, talented, sweet, good looking, so wise and the thing that helps us fall in bed tired at the end of a busy day with them.  We love the plan of families forever and the joy the gospel brings.  We even love each other most days.
