We finally had a referral and went to the gorge and up a mountain to Robbinsville to check it out . All he wanted was a Bible but we gave him a lesson and some pamphlets also. It was a beautiful drive on past Robbinsville where he lived.
| Fontana Dam and river |
We returned by way of Fontana Dam which was very pretty.
The country is finally turning colors and all is beautiful. It will really be pretty next week.
We had to go to Franklin this week to get a jump suit for one of the elders' baptisms. It was fun to be with the Silkers.

The Blairsville baptism was as always beautiful. They will be a great addition to the Blairsville Branch. They are the only couple to be baptized in the branch and they have 4 children.
We went home teaching to a less active who promised she would be there tomorrow. We will save a place for her. We tried another family but no luck so we went to the Yogurt Shop and got a bowl, went home and ate it on the swing on our porch. Love springtime.

Kolton turned 10 on the 14th. We could not believe how tall he had grown when they came to see us. He hates to be left out of the loop and was so upset when he didn't know what was happening at the beginning of their trip. We think he had a fun time, especially with his sling shot. He is a fun boy who has a very imaginative nature. He is very artistically gifted and loves to create things. He always has a smile but can put on a great pout. He had such great parents who are teaching him to follow our Savior. He will be a great missionary and leader. We love him and know he is a very special child of our Heavenly Father who loves him also. It was fun having you and your family here, Kolton. We love you so much.
Thurs. Nov. 9th We got up in good time and after eating breakfast we got ready and left Sister Smith's at half past eight, and started for Benson, a distance of twenty-eight miles, we walked quite hard all day without any dinner, and about three o'clock we commenced to feel quite hungry and we came to a patch of "rootibeggars" and my companion jumped over the fence and got us some, which tasted pretty well. We arrived at R.T. Draughon's at half past five being quite tired after our days walk. We retired at nine o'clock.

Can't wait for our next visit!
